Stephen Colbert brutally mocks Trump's failed attempt to get his wall
n the wake of a government shutdown that's said to have cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars, Stephen Colbert is taking some time to reflect on what Donald Trump has actually achieved. It doesn't sound like he's too impressed, either.
"Ah yes, the negotiator-in-chief," says Colbert in the clip above, before launching into his best Trump impression. "My opening offer: Give me wall. In return you offer nothing? I accept. A pleasure arting the deal with you."
Colbert goes on to describe Trump's frustration at the Democrats sticking together during the recent stalemate — including when he apparently asked, during a meeting, "Why are they always so loyal?"
"Yes, why are they so loyal?" imitates Colbert. "Do they ALL have tapes of each other doing pee stuff?"
